Terms of Infrastructure

PegTag is a technology infrastructure provider. We facilitate the creation of time-locked price data ('Locks') based on third-party market indicators. PegTag is NOT a bank, a money transmitter, or a payment processor. We do not hold, manage, or settle merchant funds.

Our system utilizes a consensus of multiple independent FX sources to calculate 'True Rates'. While we apply safety buffers for slippage protection, PegTag does not guarantee that the locked price will perfectly match every specific liquidity source at the moment of replacement.

To protect the ecosystem, we employ automated risk scoring and integrity checks. Merchants acknowledge that high dispute rates or fraudulent proof-of-payment uploads will result in automated status downgrades or account restriction.

PegTag shall not be held liable for any business losses, inventory mismanagement, or currency fluctuations occurring outside the specific parameters of a valid, Active Lock. We verify payment provider events (e.g., Paystack webhooks) but do not verify final bank-to-bank settlement/client.tsx].
